Call for Papers: The California Geographer

It’s that time again! The California Geographer, a long-standing peer reviewed journal, publishes articles on all aspects of California geography. We welcome articles from scholars, practitioners, and students with a common interest in California geography including all subfields, regions, and approaches. As well as original research papers, the journal includes short articles on geographic education, reflective essays on items of general geographic interest, and a report on the annual CGS meeting.  The editors also welcome reviews of recently published books or atlases related to California geography.

The editors, Kathryn Davis and Ben Sleeter, invite submissions for the upcoming edition of the journal. Submissions must be received by September 1, 2012 for consideration. Please see the CGS website (www.calgeog.org) for instructions to contributors. Send your submission (MS Word) and figures (JPEG or TIFF) via email attachment to the editors:

Human/Cultural/Historical Submissions: Kathryn Davis Kathryn.Davis@sjsu.edu

Physical and Applied Geography Submissions: Benjamin Sleeter bsleeter@usgs.gov

For other questions please contact the respective editor. We are also seeking article reviewers. If you are willing to peer review articles for us please contact Kathryn and let her know your area of interest/expertise.
