California Geographer - Call For Papers

Greetings California Geographers,

It's time to think about writing something for publication in our annual  journal!   Articles from faculty, independent researchers, undergraduate and graduate students are all welcome!

Have you read a good book about California lately?  A new atlas?  We would like to expand our book review section so write a review and send it in.  Books must be recently published monographs focusing on California.

The California Geographer, a long-standing peer-reviewed journal, published articles on all aspects of California Geography.  We welcome articles from scholars, practitioners, and students with a common interest in California geography including all subfields, regions, and approaches.  As well as original research papers, the journal includes short articles on geographic education, reflective essays on items of general geographic interests, and a report on the annual CGS meeting.  We also welcome reviews of recently published books or atlases related to California geography.

The editor, Kathryn Davis, invites submissions for the upcoming edition of the journal.  Submissions must be received by February 1, 2014 for consideration.  Send your submission (MS Word) and figures (JPEG or TIFF) via email attachment to the editor:  Kathryn.Davis@sjsu.edu.

Kathryn is also seeking peer reviewers.  If you are willing to peer review articles for us please contact me letting me know your area of interest/expertise.  We usually need a turn-around commitment of about a month.
